Source standards
We prefer current manufacturer documentation, standards bodies, primary technical references and clearly attributed research.

The rules we use to separate documented facts, interpretation, commercial context and corrections.
Clear Sources. Clear Limits.
Guitar Insight Guide is an independent knowledge and retail-intelligence platform. Editorial pages are developed to answer a defined reader question. A brand mention, product example or source link does not by itself imply endorsement.
We do not present assumptions as measurements, repeat marketing language as established fact, or claim hands-on evaluation unless the sample and method are identified on the page.
Each claim should be traceable to an identified source, an explained comparison method, or a clearly labeled editorial judgment.
We prefer current manufacturer documentation, standards bodies, primary technical references and clearly attributed research.
Comparison criteria, scope and important limits are stated so a reader can understand how the answer was reached.
Material relationships, supplied samples and sponsored involvement must be disclosed where they can affect interpretation.
Specific corrections are checked against the page, source and current specification before the content is changed.
Commercial relationships do not purchase a favorable conclusion. If a company supplies access, data, travel, a sample, sponsorship or payment connected to a page, that relationship should be disclosed near the relevant content.
A product is described as tested or evaluated only when the exact sample, relevant setup, conditions and limits are recorded. General specification research is not described as a product test.
Brand names may be used to explain a specification, history or comparison. Readers should verify current model specifications with the manufacturer because production details can change.
Sponsored content must be labeled. A sponsor does not receive control over factual conclusions, comparison criteria or the correction process. Unlabeled paid editorial placement is not accepted.
Readers can submit the page URL, disputed statement and supporting source. Verified corrections are incorporated into the article, and meaningful updates receive a new modification date.
Submit an editorial correctionBylines link to an accountable profile. Named authors or reviewers are added only when their identity, role and contribution have been confirmed. Until then, applicable pages use the Guitar Insight Guide Editorial Team entity.
